oncologist, said. “Opportunities for risk assessments and health
screenings for selected cancers are available at the hospital’s
Primary Care centers, aboard the mobile health and mobile wellness centers,
and at various physician offices throughout the community.”
Informative
education and support groups also are an essential part of the hospital’s
accredited oncology services program. “The Cancer Care at Bellefonte
team works to ensure community members are accurately informed and kept
up-to-date about the latest cancer developments, prevention methods and
treatment alternatives,” Dr. Jain added. Cancer Care at Bellefonte
support groups include smoking cessation, the Cancer Angel Network and special
classes to help you deal with the side effects of chemotherapy, among others.
In addition to prevention, detection, treatment and support, Cancer Care
at Bellefonte offers Tri-State residents access to a variety of clinical
